Join ESB’s Tournament Trip to Tallinn to Compete in the Junior Noorte GP-4.


We’ve participated in junior tournaments in Estonia for several years now, and the trips have always been a lot of fun. In between matches, we’ve enjoyed spending time with teammates, sharing great stories, eating delicious food, and exploring the sights of Tallinn.This year, the junior tournament will be held at the beautiful Lenne Badminton Center.

! If you haven’t played in tournaments before or are still a beginner, we recommend choosing the B level in your age category, e.g., "Boys’ Singles U13B". B-levels will be played only in singles.

In previous years, all U11 and B categories have been played at Jüri Spordihoone, a sports hall about 1 km from Lenne Sulgpallikeskus. Although this is not mentioned in the tournament invitation, players should keep in mind that some matches may also be played there.

CATEGORIES (Noorte GP-4):

Singles: U11, U13A, U13B, U15A, U15B, U17A, U17B, U19A, U19B

Doubles: U13A, U15A, U17A, U19A

Mixed Doubles: U13A, U15A, U17A, U19A


! All U11 and B-category matches (all disciplines) will be played on Saturday, May 9

! Semifinals and finals of A-categories (all disciplines) will be played on Sunday, May 10


AGE GROUPS:

U-11 / 01.01.2016 or later

U-13 / 01.01.2014-31.12.2015

U-15 / 01.01.2012-31.12.2013

U-17 / 01.01.2010-31.12.2011

U-19 / 01.01.2008-31.12.2009


ENTRY FEES (paid in cash at the venue):

Noorte GP-4:

  • MS, WS = €27 / player

  • MD, WD, XD = €17 / player


ACCOMMODATION BOOKINGS:

Each group is responsible for booking their own accommodation based on their travel plans and needs. Coaches will stay at the hotel: (tba later)


TRAVEL BOOKINGS:

Each group is also responsible for booking their own travel tickets according to their plans and schedule. It’s often a good idea to travel to Tallinn already on Friday and return on Sunday.

We will organize a training session at the Lenne tournament venue on Friday between approx. 17:00–20:00 (exact time to be confirmed).


It is also possible to travel on Saturday morning (e.g., ferry 07:30–09:30), but this must be confirmed with the tournament organizers well in advance, and they must be informed before making the match schedule.Note: Traffic near the port in Tallinn can cause delays. Players must be at the venue at least 30 minutes before their first match.


TRANSPORTATION / LOCAL TRAVEL:

Transportation will be arranged by taxi or private car. Lenne Badminton Center is about 10 km from the harbor. Distance between the junior and adult tournament venues is about 5 km.


TRAVELING WITHOUT A GUARDIAN?

It is possible to attend the tournament without your own guardian, but this must be agreed in advance and all travel documents must be in order.Every underage junior must travel with a group that includes a responsible adult group leader. In past trips, groups with one parent and a few children have worked very well.

ESB coaches will join the trip, help with practical matters, lead the Friday practice session at the tournament venue, and coach players during matches.

Schedules will be published during tournament week on Tournament Software and Badminton.ee

INFORMATION & COMMUNICATION:

We will create a WhatsApp group for those interested in the trip, where we can share info and discuss things like accommodation and travel plans. Sami will be the main contact person. If you want to join the group, message Sami (0400-493459).
