Season’s first ESBGameJam done – Happy faces, great vibes!

The first ESB GameJam of the season was held on Sunday, 24 August, at Forever Matinkylä. A total of 60 players took part, including almost 15 brave adult players who joined the fun!

The event for younger players started with a group warm-up, followed by the day’s matches - singles first and then freely singles and also doubles. The matches were, once again, tight but fair. After the games, everyone enjoyed snacks and refreshments, and prizes were handed out. At GameJam, everyone’s a winner and everyone gets rewarded!

Next, the courts were taken over by adult players, juniors, and competitive players.The action was nearly as wild as with the youngest earlier in the day! Pool winners were Kari L., Kapil V., Heramba M., Unni P., Lumikki B., Arnav K., and Dharsika B. In doubles, Debasis and Prabhu stood out for playing the highest number of matches. ”Everytime we come here, we meet new people and get new friends”

Badminton friends Jemima and Hilkka joined this ESB GameJam and shared their thoughts. How did the matches go? "Our matches went well, and we learned a lot of new things. Playing here is always a fun experience — wins and losses happen, but that’s just part of life.”

What’s the best thing about GameJam? “Every time we come here, we meet new people and make lots of new friends.”
