Register as a Badminton Hobbyist – Get Free Entry to Arctic Open on Tue 7 Oct!


Badminton Finland news:

The Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture considers the number of registered hobbyists in each sport a key criterion when awarding public funding.


The traditional annual membership surveys conducted by the Finnish Badminton Association are no longer sufficient. Instead, the number of active hobbyists must be reliably verified.


What to do:


We kindly ask all members of clubs affiliated with the Finnish Badminton Association to register themselves as badminton hobbyists in Finland.

The registration is free, takes just a few minutes, and helps secure future funding for the sport.

As a thank you:


Everyone who registers as a badminton hobbyist by Monday 6 October 2025 will receive a free ticket to the opening day of the CLASH OF CLANS Arctic Open on Tuesday 7 October 2025 – part of the prestigious BWF World Tour.


You can still register after that date, but we cannot guarantee free entry to this event beyond the deadline.


We hope that as many clubs as possible will encourage their members to register — let's make the opening day of Arctic Open a huge nationwide badminton celebration for all clubs!



When you register, you'll receive a Badminton Hobbyist Card in your Suomisport app.

All registered hobbyists will also receive the Finnish Badminton Association's member newsletter (max. 4 times a year).


All those who qualify for the free ticket will receive instructions via email before the event on how to claim it.
